México. - The Spanish banks that they have almost closed completely the doors of the international markets, increased in June their dependence of the loans of the European Central Bank (ECB) to a record in the era of the area Eurus. The entities requested loans to the ECB for 365 thousand million Eurus (about 456 thousand million dollars), in front of 324 thousand million in May, according to disclosed data this Friday for the Bank of Spain. The figure is the highest volume in this statistical series that began in 1999. In net terms, discounted the deposits made to the ECB, the debt of the Spanish banks reached in June 337 thousand 206 million Eurus, quantity 17.2 superior percent to those of May, because of the recent injections of liquidity of the central bank in the sector.

According to analysts, the figures show that the Spanish banks cannot obtain in the markets wholesalers and interbank the liquidity that they need, for what they appeal the ECB. The volume of this debt has break records from February. In July of 2010, the debt of the decrees with the ECB reached 131 thousand 900 million Eurus and then it began to lower, up to 42 thousand 230 millions in April of 2011. But starting from July of last year it ascended again. Between April and May of this year it increased 9.2 percent and other 17.2 between May and June. Last month, Spain agreed a rescue until of a hundred thousand million Eurus for its bank sector, fact that has shot the dependence of the financial entities with the ECB.

The increment of the debt of the banking is consequence of the recent injections of liquidity from the ECB to the financial sector in to the area Eurus. In December and February, the ECB lent money to three years to the European banks with a reduced interest rate. In the first operation more than 500 banks requested 489 thousand million Eurus and in second time some 800 entities requested 530 thousand millions. This injection of liquidity has for objective to help to the banks with difficulties to be financed in the markets, mainly the Spaniards that will receive a first help to the sector of 30 thousand million Eurus before the end of July.

They request “unit and responsibility” in the poverty
