Mexico. – "Mexico donated 8 million of dollars to Haiti in response to a urgent call that made the Organization of the United Nations (UN) to several countries. Upon visiting a collection center of the Mexican Red Cross, the president Felipe Calderon explained that Mexico made this special donation at two ó clock of yesterday afternoon, the limit hour that established the international organization for the help delivery. Daniel Goñi, president of the Mexican Red Cross, explained that in 48 hours was received almost 500 tons of supplies.The president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon requested to the Mexicans to support "strong" to the Haitians with antibiotics, vaccine against the tetanus, serum, surgical material, gauze, and latex gloves, bandage sterilized, alcohol and drinking water, and objects of personal hygiene. He reiterate the solidarity of Mexico on account of this “unusual tragedy, indeed unpublished".
