We make it with the conviction of the fact that upon accomplishing our task we provide to the development of the country, with the certainty in fact that thus we strengthen the lay values of the society and that we complied with the sense of our motto: For my race will speak the spirit".

Encinas noted that to commemorate 100 years of the UNAM can not be reduced to a celebration or a protocol act of apology or demagoguery. "To honor to the UNAM means a policy change, where the public universities count on the sufficient resources to enjoy its autonomy and may have in its educational tasks: scientific investigation, human capital development and the diffusion of the national culture".
