To define the best model so that the citizens are exercised their rights

Mexico. -    Submerge in a legal battle that gets rid in several hints, journalist Carmen Aristegui sustains that what she and his team are defending in front of the MVS company and the “hand that it rocks the cradle” is the execution of a contract that, for their reaches, it should be “model in the relationship between the journalists and the managers of the media". It recognizes that in the fight for the spaces of a critical and independent journalism, “there are other means of first order. We are not, by no means the only ones in the prairie", of the journalism. It points that it is “a key moment so that the informants are focused in a serious reflection on like the things walk in the relationship between the journalists and the managers, on which the best model is so that all -press, company and audiences - they exercise their rights to carry out and to offer better contained product of a work fact in freedom, result of the professional and ethical effort. That is the main battle; it has to do with the contents that we give to the public and the conscience that it assumes the Mexican society of their rights."  But for the time being, while several tribunals specialized in telecommunications face an avalanche of citizens' habeas corpus that they claim MVS and “the one who it is responsible” for having them deprived of their right to the information to have taken from of the air to the morning newscast of more rating in the national radio. On Monday (04/27/15) the journalist faces an incidental audience -according to juridical jargon -, in which judge Fernando Silva Garcia “can decide if or not” to grant precautionary measures to the communicator. If it is solved in favor of Aristegui she would be allowed to return from a casual way to the microphones while it is solved of bottom the conflict. But while this is solved the company it announced Alejandro Cacho's recruiting, the space of news that had Aristegui conductor. With this action a series of legal skirmishes is expected that imply topics like the press relationship in front of the political and economic power, the freedom of information, of expression and the journalists' information, and something more than it has not taken into account: the audience right. The passed week a collegian group discarded the judge's order Meza Garcia who prepared a meeting among the displeased one and the defendant, Aristegui and MVS, with the figure by arbitration represented by mutual agreement in Jose Woldenberg.  The desires of eating  "It was not possible. No radio concessionary wanted to accept a journalist that requested to enter, a contract that guaranteed her full freedom in its editorial politics. "It joined the hunger and the desires of eating. When we are again we agree conditions of advanced. A contract that granted the director of the newscast the editorial control, autonomy, an ombudsman and a figure by arbitration to settle conflicts. We put in white on black the fundamental values for both". We ignore if there are similar contracts in the radio and the television but we would love them to exist so that they allowed us to all the journalists to put with all their letters the meaning of the editorial freedom, at the time of maintaining a serious relationship, professional, and modern, with the communication companies.      "We are surprised and it hurts that at the same time we made that is not common currency in the media, now it is wanted to dynamite. Ours is, although I don't want to speak in past, a successful program, of good audience". In this investigation process, the key moment is the report of the White House de Las Lomas that is in 150 Sierra Gorda, valued in 7 million dollars, but supposedly it is property of President EPN's wife where it seems to be a point of it breaks. Although we know that it is truly it, it is also certain that the investigation was not transmitted in first instance in the newscast in MVS, because when we were still with the investigation of the history in course consultations they had already been made in the Presidency, in the Secretary of the Public Function, and those before mentioned they requested us understanding. "That information didn't give it to us anybody. It is born of Rafael Cabrera's journalistic curiosity who thumbed through the magazine Hola in a supercenter and he saw the report of the President's wife saying that that it would be their home when they left Los Pinos residence.  "It was a difficult conversation. They requested me that investigation not to come out in the newscast. They alleged what I know that it is certain: their vulnerability in the face of the political power, because they are managers that depend much of the government environment for their business, their concessions, the 2.5, what is the main business of MVS. "The managers in Mexico, in particular those of the concessions, they have been historically low the yoke and the government's conditional that it continues affecting the freedom of speech and the contents of the radio and the television.”We outline them that it could not accept the censorship and less in a report of that nature that the society had right that is that and that we won't put it in a drawer. For not generating rupture with them, the exit for us is that we would disclose it otherwise. We didn't commit to not speaking of them in MVS, but rather the station was not the sign of origin of the report. It left in La Jornada and Proceso magazine on Sunday special. All that happened later is known by the public one and obviously this is passing against la light of what is happening now. It scalds it that it took to our exit according to MVS like Mexicoleaks and the pretext of the trademark use, the discharge of the reporters and the imposition of the drafts was in the same week. And all this lapsed between have a long week end and Holy Week. According to Aristegui the perspective would be: "This is not the first occasion in which the concessionaires of the communication are given in by the political power."     "This chapter of authoritarian construction is not the first one that we live with MVS. At the first chapter we saw the unusual thing: to hear a media manager like Joaquin Vargas say that it was subjected to take from of the air to a journalist in February of 2011. It is not the first time that this company, and others that don't say it, were subjected to act against their journalists". In this company the first dismissed was when it reproduced versions about the previous president's Felipe Calderon presumed alcoholism. Although Calderon was already to leave this operation type it involved in its moment to the government of Calderon, to a manager and a journalist, and this case gives us in perspective the situation that now you’ll be living. In that occasion Joaquin Vargas it was a glass box and it assumed with courage the cost of saying what happened. It recognized that Los Pinos residence told him that if it related the journalist, to their managerial project it took it to him the hell. That chapter cannot forget it". Today the operation with the Vargas’ children is completely opaque, but it has similar ingredients. It is not the same political situation. It is not the same Calderon of exit that EPN with four years of presidency in front. (La Jornada, política, p.p. 1-4, April 6, 2015).
